    Hair loss could be a sign of a nutritional deficiency, low blood pressure or other restriction that means that the scalp is not getting as much oxygenated blood as it should e.g through hormonal imbalance or stress.

    Your hair is a reflection of inner health – washing, cleaning and conditioning it will add a superficial gloss but because hair is already dead, nothing will make it intrinsically healthier (as you can probably tell from any home remedies you have been using) – this can only be done internally and can only be done to encourage new healthier hair growth.

    Amla (gooseberry oil) is said to improve the colour and lustrousness of the hair. Massaging any good quality oil into the scalp e.g. amla, almond, olive, coconut (particularly beneficial) or even baby oil will improve the circulation to the scalp and will help promote a healthier scalp and thus healthier regrowth. It may even stimulate the hair follicles to produce more hair.

    Hope this helps you somewhat though it might be an idea to consult a doctor to ensure there is no underlying condition causing the hair loss such as alopecia, which causes hair to fall out in large amounts.

    I understand exactly how you must be feeling – a lot of my hair fell out in large clumps after a long stay in intensive care. Usually, it is a sign that your body is recovering and repairing itself and the hair will begin growing back normally once you start eating properly and are nourishing your body both from the inside and the outside.
