Theres i good shampoo out, i use it and it’s really good. I got it from boots, it’s green and it costs round about £10

You can buy hair supplements (vitamin and mineral pills) from holland & barrett, which I found quite useful. Another one is to buy west indian bay oil (culpeppers stock it), mix it with a carrier oil and apply to hair and leave on for an hour or so before washing out. It does help promote hair growth.
Your friend should also go to the doctors and get her thyroid checked out – an underactive thyroid can result in hair loss – this can be remedied by taking artificial thyroxine – and the hair will then regrow.

You sound like an amazing friend…and i think most people would be imbarassed but im glad your not becasue you can help her through this. being a good friend you should just pick the moment to talk to her and offer as much support as you can.
There could be a medical reason for this. My fridend had this on the top of her head; her hair went really thin and started falling out… she went to see many consultants and she ended up being prescribed a medicated shampoo i think she was prescribed 3 different kinds until she found the one which cured her hair problem.
So best advice is for her to see her GP with you nalong for support if she is scared or embarassed.
